Your first day with AlmaNest
Open Today's Doorstep, write the three things you actually want today to feel like, then let the rooms fill in around them.

Family Wall: events, tasks, and reminders
Click any day to see everything for that day. Use the Event Editor to set recurrence, add attendees, and set reminders per person.

Editing one occurrence vs the whole series
When you save a recurring edit, choose 'Just this one' to override a single date or 'This and future' to cap the series and start a new one.
Tasks that move themselves
Mark something as a task instead of an event. If the day passes uncompleted, the morning's first app open will quietly move it to today.
Importing or exporting an .ics file
Family Wall has Export and Import .ics buttons in the toolbar. Imports dedupe by UID so re-importing the same file is safe.

Reminder notifications
Settings → Reminders. Allow the browser notification permission, then per-event reminders fire as system notifications and toast banners.

Fridge Mode: a tablet on the kitchen wall
Open /app/fridge on the wall tablet — clock, today's events, dinner, and pinned notes, all readable from across the room.

Choosing a theme that feels like your home
Settings → Theme & ambience. Pick a base palette, density, font pairing, botanical motif, and ambient room background.

Renaming rooms
Settings → Rename rooms. Override the default name (e.g. 'Family Wall' → 'Kitchen calendar'). Sidebar, headers, and links update automatically.

Adding family members (up to 8)
Settings → Family members. Add a name, role, and color; assign tasks and events to specific members in the editor.

Adding a recipe or memory video
Paste any YouTube or Vimeo URL into a meal in Table & Pantry, or into a Fridge Note. It will play inline on the card.

Cloud backup and restore
Settings → Cloud sync & backup. Sign in on a paid plan to back up to your hearth and restore on another device.

Starting and ending the kettle trial
Settings → Subscription. Start the 30-day trial; cancel anytime. Unused months on annual plans are refunded automatically.

Sending or redeeming a hearth (gift code)
Settings → Send or redeem a hearth. Generate a code for someone you love, or paste in a code to unlock Family hearth for a year.
